Current Staples:
Lessons in longevity
A lot of the jewelry I create is inspired by nature: butterfly necklaces, dragonfly earrings,
flowers, leaves; I really like to be taken with anything I can find on a walk.
I work mostly in sterling silver and copper, loving the versatility between the warm and
cool tones. Soft-colored stones have recently begun to play in my work adding color to
the collection. They’re materials that work all year for a timeless, classy look.

No matter what I’m making, I strive for pieces that are timeless and effortless to wear. I
don’t want my work to be out-of-date with the next trend; I want it to be comfortable
and worn for a long time.

I’m an introvert, so I don’t talk a lot. But I listen well and I like to meet people, which has
allowed me to get to know a lot of great people with heartwarming stories to tell.
Hearing someone recall exact details as they reminisce shows me how important certain
events or locations can be, and I love helping them recreate a piece of that experience in a
keepsake to keep that feeling close.

SCORE about Gray Hat
Creations and Makers
Together.
Years and years ago, I took a metalsmithing class not knowing what to expect,
and it was like learning magic. I got to try melting, hammering, etching, drilling,
sawing, and filing metal into new and exciting shapes.
Now, I have a workshop in northeastern Wisconsin where I “magic” my way to
pieces I am proud to share. I’m learning new things every day, and the best part?
I get to meet and work with lovely people who share their stories to create a
keepsake they, or a loved one, will cherish.
When I’m not designing jewelry, I’m also President and Co-Founder of
Makers Together – a non-profit organization dedicated to introducing
artisans and makers to the business side of creativity. If you or someone
you know is a go-getter that just needs some resources and support to
make their creative business work, take a look at what we offer!
